Good food is a must, but if you get an extraordinary view in the package – a visit to a restaurant becomes a culinary experience. Today we’ll focus on views from this highest perspective – from Gdansk’s rooftops and terraces.

Filharmonia, High 5, Cała Naprzód – food with a view of the Motlawa River

Eating with a view always tastes better – when you can enjoy the taste of your favourite dishes and admire the panorama at the same time. In Gdansk, we have restaurants with stunning views and good food.

If you are looking for beautiful views, the Filharmonia Restaurant is a good destination. The restaurant’s terrace offers a view of the Motława waterfront and the Gdansk Carousel. It’s a restaurant right in the centre, so you can plan a lunch here during your Gdansk city break, and pop out for an afternoon stroll among the city’s beautiful townhouses and the waterfront of Granary Island. Reservation of a table for 2-4 people on the upper terrace requires advance booking (minimum 24 hours in advance) and a surcharge of +150 PLN on the bill. Make a reservation to enjoy this place without restrictions. It’s a great meeting location for locals and tourists alike.

An equally great option is Bar High 5 on the 5th floor of the Gdansk Hilton Hotel. The venue has a large viewing terrace and a tranquil ‘urban beach’ where you can sip cocktails and enjoy spa hors d’oeuvres. An added bonus is the Mercato restaurant, located on the partner, which is definitely worth a visit when visiting Gdansk. At Mercato, don’t forget to order coffee and sweets – they are delectable!

Cała Naprzód is a restaurant on the roof of the Maritime Culture Centre. From here you can see the Motława, the Sołdek and the marina. But the view is not everything. Cała Naprzód serves delicious food, based on Polish cuisine. You will enjoy here, among others, cod baked in parchment, pork ribs or duck baked with apple. The Old Gdansk fish soup with seafood is also worth trying. You can never have too much tasty food!

Roof Top by Sassy cannot be left out of the list. It is a rooftop restaurant and nightclub in one. Here you can enjoy oriental cuisine and beautiful cocktails. And all this with a view of Gdańsk. A perfect location and a beautiful view – spend a long evening with friends here.

Restaurants with a view of Gdańsk – Panorama and Jungla

Panorama is the famous restaurant on the 16th floor of the “Zieleniak” – a tall green-coloured building, to which it owes its common name. On the menu you will find dishes such as beef scions, confit duck leg or the flounder recommended by many. There are also dumplings, nutritious soups and sweets. It is worth coming here not only for the view, but also for the good taste.

Another interesting option with a view of Gdańsk is Jungla – coctails & food. The restaurant is full of greenery – you can feel like you are in the jungle here. On the terrace, on the other hand, you will find a more beach-like décor – with swings that will gently rock you as you test out your next cocktails. But jungle isn’t just about cocktails – you’ll find both main courses and boards full of snacks.

Arco by Paco Perez and Treinta y Tres – the observation deck at Olivia Star

The 33rd floor of the Olivia Star conceals good restaurants – Arco by Paco Perez for connoisseurs of surprising flavours and Treinta y Tres, which is more accessible to all. Both restaurants share a common cuisine and the name of Catalan chef Paco Perez. And you can enjoy stunning views from each of them. To get to them, you have to ascend to the 32nd floor, where you will find the famous viewing terrace over the entire Tricity. Then you have to go up a secret staircase to the floor above. We recommend it, because it’s worth it!

Vidokova and Sky Bar in the Inn Hotel – beautiful places with a view

Vidokova is a restaurant located on the fourth floor of the World War II Museum. If you are hungry for breathtaking views of Gdańsk – you have come to the right place. Vidokova also offers delicious food – you will taste old Pomeranian cuisine with its flagship regional products, including potato dumplings, fish soup, Old Polish sour soup, cod fillet or mackerel with lemon butter.

In search of beautiful views, you can’t miss the Sky Bar at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Gdansk. This is a unique place, famous for its phenomenal view, delighting guests. The hotel is located in the very centre, and the top floor overlooks the Motlawa River and the yacht marina. You’ll enjoy exquisite cocktails here – both classic and more surprising – and have a tasty snack.
