One thing is certain about this dinner – you will be surprised by everything. Apart from the place and time of the meeting, you don’t know anything. Neither where you are going, nor who will cook for you, nor what you will eat. This mysterious experience the Elixir restaurant has closed in a series of meetings by the theme “Star Hunters”.There will be more, but you have to hunt for tickets, because they are selling like hot cakes.
Thursday, 6 pm, Elixir restaurant – that much we knew. Under the Gdansk restaurant, which was the only one in Poland to be awarded a green Michelin star, people began to gather who, like us, were thirsty for an adventure beyond the classic visit to a good restaurant.

To start, each of us was given a gift bag, which turned out to be our appetizer on the bus. Everyone got what they had previously ordered, which was a version with or without percentages, meat or vegetarian. Eating the excellent-tasting appetizer, enclosed in a symbolic can of canned food, on one’s own lap was certainly a big surprise, which only fueled curiosity about the destination. As it turned out later, the canned food was a clue, as the bus eventually stopped at the port of Gdansk.

The dinner took place in an off-limits location, the 56-meter-high control tower at the Gdansk Port Captain’s Office. The event’s special guest was Dominik Karpik – chef of the Hilton Hotel’s Mercato restaurant, which this year received a Michelin Guide honor.

It was exciting, very mysterious and exceptionally tasty. The whole event began with a tasting of Polish Antonius caviar, which was eaten…. from your own hand. This way the caviar gets the right temperature, which turns up the flavor. Moments later, we began a 6-course feast at a long communal table. Each course was served with a matching cocktail in alcoholic or non-alcoholic versions. Depending on the order, guests received a vegetarian or meat version of the menu. And both versions were delicious!
It was a dinner full of surprises, flavors and emotions that will remain in our memory for a long time. We recommend this culinary experience to anyone who expects something beyond the standard from gastronomy! Only you have to hurry, because, as we wrote earlier, tickets are selling out like hot cakes. The second dinner, to be held on November 14, sold out a month before the event. We recommend keeping an eye on the Elixir restaurant website and their social media, to quickly reserve your place for the third and subsequent editions of “Star Hunters”.
