After a pandemic break, Kulinarna Świętojańska returns – the largest cyclical street-food festival in Northern Poland. The fifth edition of the event will take place on Saturday, July 9, from 12:00 to 18:00. This year’s theme will be sweet and sour flavors. The idea of the festival is additionally to emphasize and promote the first urban culinary trail in Poland.

On that day, the section of Świętojańska Street will be closed to car traffic and will turn into a promenade filled with flavors from around the world. We cordially invite all Gdynia residents and tourists to participate in Kulinarna Świętojańska. The festival offers an exploration of the tastes and aromas of world cuisines and the latest culinary trends. Participants will have a unique opportunity to learn about the excellent quality of Gdynia’s premises at promotional prices. You will be able to choose from almost 40 proposals, including the best Gdynia restaurants.

The special guest and curator of this year’s edition is Martin Gimenez Castro – the winner of the first edition of the Polish edition of “Top Chef” program. A lot of attractions will be ensured by culinary shows led by this talented Chef and the Sushi Kushi team specializing in oriental dishes.

In addition to the rich offer of culinary stands and live cooking shows, the program includes, among others, quizzes and competitions based on Gdynia’s culinary history. The event will also include the iconic Waiter Run – a one-of-a-kind race that took place in Gdynia in the 1930s. The run will be held in 3 editions: professional, amateur and for children. Additionally, the atmosphere will be made more pleasant by a jazz band.

This year’s edition proposes a creative combination of summer flavors – it will be a bit sweet, a bit sour. There will also be a kitchen rich in fish and seafood. Guests on stage will present their original and surprising interpretation. We encourage you to spend time in an open, modernist urban space in close relationship with good cuisine. Culinary Świętojańska emphasizes the importance of Gdynia’s culinary origin as well as the attractive and diverse culinary offer of the city.

Participation in the event is free of charge. The detailed program of the event and the list of restaurants and exhibitors can be found at www.kulinarnagdynia.pl and FB of Szlak Kulinarny Centrum Gdyni.
