Regional bee-keeping traditions are mentioned in the oldest historical records. Nowadays, there are over 30 thousand beehives in the whole voivodeship. Honey production is thriving thanks to the fairly cool climate as well as the abundance of coniferous and deciduous forests and meadows.

Traditional honeys include Kashubian mixed flower honey and Pszczółki honeys. The former combines the features of flowers and plants found in Kashubia and is collected from mid-May to late August. The latter owe their taste to rapeseed fields, characteristic of the collection area.
