Are you planning to spend Valentine’s Day in Pomorskie? No plans for this day yet? We have compiled a list of six local spots that will not only treat you to an exquisite dinner with your significant other, but also make your weekend stay all roses. It will be romantic and delicious.

Local restaurants celebrate Valentine’s Day all weekend. Restaurants on our list will serve a romantic dinner on 14 February, but some of them have decided to extend the celebration for three more days.

Flavours of Love: salmon, asparagus and meringue

Brovarnia Restaurant at Hotel Gdańsk is located in a historical, 17th century granary, just above the marina in the heart of  Gdańsk. Within these premises, a real feast awaits for all those fancying classic flavours with a modern twist.

The head chef, Jarosław Waloch, has decided to pour some love into several unique dishes, including Skrei cod, which is a rare, delicate Arctic fish. Here, it is served with sea asparagus. The head of the bar, Maciej Zdunkiewicz, has prepared a selection of cocktails prepared on the base of aphrodisiacs, which will stir up the senses. Krystyna Durys, an excellent jazz vocalist, will accompany guests throughout this romantic evening – says Katarzyna Laskowska, sales & marketing representative at Brovarnia Gdańsk.

Brovarnia offers delicious meals, including: gravlax with beetroot gel, blini with bivalves with tomato concasse, cream of beetroot with blackcurrant and goat cheese, and one to choose from: Skrei cod with sea asparagus or duck breast with oranges and honey, roasted shallots and pear in white wine vinegar. The evening’s culmination will be the dessert: almond mousse on crumble with lemon meringue and roasted chocolate. 4-course menu with a glass of Prosecco for 2 people costs 299 PLN, and a bottle of champagne GH Mumm Brut – 499 PLN.

One item on the Valentine’s Day drink menu has caught our eye: the “Extasy” cocktail, with hazelnut vodka, Martini Rosso, mead, lemon juice and mint for 28 PLN.

Meat and vegetarian feast

Polskie Smaki Restaurant has prepared a Valentine’s Dinner in two options: meat and vegetarian. The first menu will appeal to lovers of game meat, fish and seafood. The Valentine’s Day card includes, among others, smoked deer steak tartare, cream of Jerusalem artichokes, crayfish salad, and the main dish: salmon with wild broccoli, watercress salad with olive oil and chives. And what about dessert? It’s as lovely as the rest of the menu: dark chocolate ganache with passion fruit. In the vegetarian version, the venison in steak tartare was replaced by roasted eggplant mousse, and salmon was changed to cabbage stuffed with millet & mushrooms. Dinner with a view of the pier and the Gulf of Gdańsk, with a glass of red wine will cost 130 PLN per person.

Evening filled with aphrodisiacs

Eliksir is known for their creative cocktails, which are mandatory on Valentine’s Day. Two dedicated menus have been prepared especially for this occasion. The first one, with 8 dishes, and the second – with 5 cocktails paired with meals. The leitmotif of the feast are aphrodisiacs. Lovage, strawberries, caviar…

For starters, guests will be treated to a seductive cocktail, the “Popping Candy” , prepared with Ostoya vodka, cranberries, and wine & marshmallow froth with popping sugar. The stars of the evening are: sturgeon with buckwheat blini, caviar and crème fraiche, as well as saddle of lamb with porter sauce, vegetables, oyster mayonnaise and buckwheat popcorn. For dessert: pumpkin pie with spiced creme, warming marmalade with oranges, and toffee sauce. A vegetarian version of the menu is available. Cost per person is 189 PLN. The drink menu is 139 PLN per person.

Rabbit, shrimps and surmullet

Corrèze “lovers’ menu” , which is full of traditional flavours, has been given an aphrodisiacal spin as well. A lover’s appetite is as insatiable as their cocktail. Corrèze has this covered, with their delicious gin & basil drink. To keep things hot, rabbit parfait will be served, with roasted apple and buckwheat honey, together with a sexy starter: shrimps with rose-petal oil. And just when you think the evening’s over, here come the stars of the evening: cream of white vegetables, and one of the dishes to choose from: surmullet with roasted cauliflower puree, or goose leg with red cabbage, morel mushrooms, oranges and marjoram oil. And for dessert? Strawberry mousse cake with chocolate, almonds and vanilla ice cream. Price per pair is 250 PLN, 385 PLN with alcohol pairing.

Dinner and overnight stay in a room with rose petals

What would you say if Valentine’s Day lasted entire weekend? Stary Browar Kościerzyna (Kościerzyna Old Brewery) offers a classic “dinner with breakfast” experience. The package (869 zł) includes, among others: a two-night stay in a stylish room a double bed romantically covered with rose petals, regional breakfast,  party with a DJ, a visit to the wellness area for two, beer bath combined with beer tasting and a romantic candle light dinner.

The menu, which we can be also purchased as a standalone offer (240 zł / pair) includes: goose parfait, scampi with rouille sauce, cream of white vegetables and one to choose from: – opah (moonfish) with amaranth and mashed green peas, or duck roulade with chestnut mousse. The evening will end with nut cake with mint, chocolate praline, and orange.

Valentine’s Day the way you like it

Zafishowani restaurant at the Hanza hotel decided there will be no schemes this year. Thus, you will not find a dedicated menu. What you will find, however, is Valentine prices for wine bottles, as well as additional sweet treats from outside the regular card. Romantic atmosphere is guaranteed by live music that will accompany you throughout the night. What can we expect in Zafishowani? As the name implies, it is a place primarily for aficionados of fresh fish and seafood. We especially recommend halibut with wild garlic pesto, caramelised carrots and mashed potatoes (69 PLN).
