Being one of the most picturesque seasons, autumn is also a test of wellbeing. When the amount of sunlight plummets and temperature drops rapidly, it’s good to relax once in a while. We checked with our partners in Pomorskie to give you the best marine-themed SPA treatments that take full advantage of local products.

The Birch Ritual and a massage with birch sticks in Notera Hotel SPA

Notera SPA Hotel is located in the heart of the Tuchola Forest with a picturesque view of Charzykowskie Lake. It is a place where you can relax, feel better and take care of your body. Among many treatments available in the offer, we recommend the “Gifts of the Forest – Birch Ritual” (Dary Lasu – Rytuał Brzozowy), and a massage with birch sticks.

“Gifts of the Forest – Birch Ritual” begins with dry  brushing with a natural agave brush.  The comfortably warm, aromatherapeutic composition of the fine oil and birch infusion will envelop you during the holistic massage of feet, body, and head. The ceremony is inspired by the birch forest. It is based on regenerative properties of birch oil, and its purpose is to relieve you of tension and stress. The birch stick massage on the other hand is a toning experience through touch and stimuli of varying intensity. Only natural ingredients are used in the process.

“The Tuchola Forest is beautiful any time of the year, but it is magical in autumn. A blaze of colour, soothing silence, and rustling of the wind… Experience the picturesque view of the Charzykowskie lake, and relax in the SPA – far from the hustle and bustle of the city crowded spaces. Our special recommendation for autumn blues includes sauna sessions: inhalation session with herbs that boosts the immune system, and aromatherapeutic that relieves stress. We organise regular sauna ceremonies in our Tucholska Bania (Tuchola Banya), which are conducted by a sauna master,” says Anna Wojaczek, head of sales and SPA in Notera Hotel.

Goddess of the Seas and seaside rituals in Testa Hotel

Testa is a luxury, five-star boutique hotel located in the heart of Sopot by the beach. The sea itself draws attention, but no less than the intriguing SPA treatments, which do not lack a marine character. Testa Hotel offers three rituals: Baltic, Sea hydration, and the Beauty of Amphitrite – Goddess of the Seas.

“Our SPA packages have a shared, unique characteristic: they have been thought of with the sea in mind. Any of the three treatments will bring you closer to nature,” says Wioletta Kucharska-Olszewska, a spa therapist in Testa Hotel.

The Baltic Ritual is divided into three stages: brine scrub, body moisturising mask, and partial massage with seashells. It is one of the longer, but extremely nourishing treatments. The marine moisturising treatment begins with a full body brine scrub. Next, you will be pampered with a goat milk mask, and a 40-minute partial massage, which, unlike the seashell massage, allows for a deeper penetration into the tissue. The last, but not least intriguing ritual is called the Beauty of Amphitrite, Goddess of the Seas. It is a complex, head-to-toe procedure that begins with a sugar scrub, and ends with some solid moisturising.

Hydration with sea-buckthorns in Szafir Hotel

The 3-star Szafir Hotel is located in Jastrzębia Góra, a stone’s throw from the seaside. Inside, there is the Amber SPA (Bursztynowe SPA), which offers treatments based on natural products. An unquestionable star of this place is the Sea-Buckthorn Ritual, which is a combination of salt scrub with a relaxing body massage. The treatment uses vegan sea buckthorn oil with orange notes, with a hint of verbena. In addition, guests on the Romantic Gold package can enjoy a regenerating amber body scrub. The treatment is made with Baltic amber and almond oil.

An amber ritual at Quadrille

Quadrille Relais & Châteaux is a luxurious, five-star boutique hotel in the style of “Alice in Wonderland”. Located in Gdynia, surrounded by a beautiful park, the palace hides a luxurious SPA inside. Inside awaits , among others, the Quadrille Amber Ritual, which was created for those wishing to discover and experience first-hand the extraordinary properties of the “gold of the Baltic Sea”. During each stage of the treatment the skin is wrapped in a composition of natural algae, plant oils and amber extract, and the smell of burning amber incense lingers in the air.

“According to many books and beliefs, amber is the source of positive energy, contains many valuable microelements, which facilitate healing and regeneration of the skin, and also has antibacterial properties. Natural, crushed amber combined with algae butter thoroughly cleanses the whole body. On the other hand, a massage with amber oil intensively nourishes and moisturises the skin, leaving it silky smooth. And finally – genuine amber powder applied right after the treatment leaves a delicate glow, while supporting the regeneration processes of the body. Everything is complemented by exceptionally composed fragrances, which effectively allow to forget about the hardships of everyday life,” sums up Marta Dworak, PR & Marketing Manager of Quadrille Hotel.
