Hosted at the Sopot pier, the Sopot Match Race Regattas became part of the World Match Racing Tour in 2014. It is a series of seven regattas that take place around the world, in the sailing formula of match race, which each year is a showdown to select the World Champion. The event gathers the world’s top racing sailors, participants of the America’s Cup, Volvo Ocean Race, Extreme 40 and the Olympics. An inherent part of the Sopot Match Race Regattas are the popular follow-up events: Ferrari Sopot Race – a meeting of Ferrari owners and enthusiasts, Sopot Molo Jazz Festival – jazz music concetrs in the concert shell by the pier, Official Opening & Close Ceremony – ceremonies on stage by the fountain and LIVE Concerts in Zatoka Sztuki.
