A Culinary Map of the Pomeranian Region – Taste the Region with All Your Senses
For years, Pomorskie has been associated with the sea, amber, and wide beaches. But it is also a region with a rich culinary culture, rooted in tradition, local ingredients, and the passion of the people behind them. The Pomeranian Flavour Trail was created to bring these values together in a cohesive story – one that can truly be felt and tasted.
Travelling the Trail, you’ll find yourself in family-run workshops, small farms, and places where every bite has a backstory. The route takes you from Kashubian forests to seaside harbours, from sweet honey to aged cheeses, from herb gardens to craft ciders.
Everything happens at a slow pace – with respect for nature, raw ingredients, and craftsmanship. The local producers here aren’t chasing trends – they draw from tradition and pass it on in a way that’s modern, yet deeply authentic.

Flavours and Aromas with a Story
On the Pomeranian Flavour Trail, no two experiences are the same – each stop is a unique destination on the culinary map. Their individuality lies not only in the distinctive products but also in the people who create them.
You might meet producers who proudly share their craft, enjoy a vineyard tour, take part in cheesemaking workshops with tastings, spend a day with a beekeeper, join a family picnic, cook together, or go on a herbal walk involving plant gathering, identification, and learning about their medicinal and culinary uses.

Next-Generation Tourism
The Pomeranian Flavour Trail is part of a growing global trend known as experiential travel – where the focus is not just on seeing, but on feeling and participating. Unlike traditional sightseeing, here you become part of the story – stepping into kitchens, joining harvests, meeting the people who create the flavours of Pomorskie, and learning the secrets of their daily work.
It’s an offer for anyone who wants to explore local life with all their senses – hearing stories, touching ingredients, tasting products, and observing the craft up close. You don’t need to be a culinary expert – just curious and open-minded. It’s the human connection that turns every stop on the trail into a personal experience.
Diversity on the Plate (and Beyond!)
The Pomeranian Flavour Trail is also a celebration of the region’s culinary diversity – from traditional Kashubian dishes to Kociewie sweets, and influences from Żuławy and the coast.
Here you can taste both heritage foods like brejka or ruchanki, and homemade cakes, liqueurs, or distilled spirits.
What all these dishes share is local sourcing, seasonal ingredients, and a deep commitment to quality. Each bite carries the story of the place it came from.

A European Project with Local Benefits
The Pomeranian Flavour Trail operates within the project “BASCIL – Innovative Solutions for the Rural Food Production Sector to Diversify into Sustainable Culinary Tourism Services” project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Program 2021-2027.
The goal of BASCIL is to develop culinary tourism services in rural areas of the Baltic Sea region and to enhance the competitiveness of local food producers by diversifying their business activities through tourism. The Pomeranian Flavour Trail is a tangible example of how sustainable tourism can truly support local communities and small businesses.
