The programme includes: ‘What About Love’ from the musical The Color Purple, “Malgoska” from the repertoire of Maryla Rodowicz, “Let them say it’s not love” and “Psalm for You” by Piotr Rubik, “I’ll Cover You” from the musical RENT and many more wonderful songs in unobvious arrangements.

The idea, author and coordinator of the concert entitled ‘Contrasts – Édith Piaf’ is Dr Mariusz Klimek.

Édith Piaf – Edith Giovanna Gassion, French singer. Considered one of the most outstanding French artists of the 20th century and an icon of French song. The concert entitled. ‘Contrasts – Édith Piaf’ – is an artistic event in which you will hear in new arrangements well-known (and not only) songs from the repertoire of this outstanding singer, including: Non, je ne regrette rien, La Foule, Exodus or Hymne à l’amour. The performers will be accompanied by a string quartet with rhythm section.

The concert will feature vocalists, instrumentalists from the Department of Jazz and Stage Music, musicians from the Instrumental Department and the Department of Conducting, Composition and Music Theory, as well as graduate vocalists and instrumentalists from aMuz.
