Did you know that the history of Christmas markets in Gdansk dates back to the 17th century? From the 19th century, the fairs were moved to Artus Court. After the First World War, the fairs were much like the ones we know today. They became a place for socialising, cooking and, above all, pre-Christmas shopping.
