The second edition of Mera Spa Golf Cup at the Tokary golf course is behind us. There was plenty of sunshine, champagne, homemade lemonade, attractive prizes, fashion, beauty treatments, art and, of course, golf. Mera Spa Golf Cup is an ideal opportunity to spend time outdoors with the whole family and establish new business relationships – for which golf seems to provide a perfect background.
Mera Spa Golf Cup is a unique event because it brings together professionals and amateurs. Everything revolved around golf – yes, but not only professional golfers enjoyed participating in the event. People with more experience competed on the golf course, while those who were just starting their adventure with this sport or had never held a golf club before practised their swings in the golf academy under the supervision of a professional. 150 experienced players took part in the tournament, which was divided into several categories: men’s stroke play gross score, women’s stroke play gross score, men’s stableford net and women’s stableford net. The overall prize value was over 60 000 PLN.
Golf was, of course, the main focus, but there were also accompanying attractions. Mera Spa of Sopot Mariott Resort & Spa hotel offered massage sessions and beauty workshops for women, during which they could learn more about skincare while girls from “Projekt Kwiaty” [Flower Project] collective made flowery fascinators. There was plenty of G.H. Mumm champagne and delicious lemonade. One of the most popular attractions was bingo, with a prize draw: the winners walked away with attractive prizes, such as a voucher for a day at Mera Spa or the jewellery designed by Patrycja Brendler, who also attended the event. The guests could also purchase paintings by a local artist from Tricity, Alicja Walczak.
Mera Spa Golf Cup is one of those events when time flows differently. The players participate in the tournament, while the remaining guests slowly and leisurely learn to play golf, enjoy the accompanying attractions or relax on loungers with lemonade or champagne. The event also had a charitable aspect: the proceeds from various actions were donated to the “Latarniczki” project, supporting talented women in the development of their projects. It was beautiful – we look forward to the third edition next year.
