The fishing port in Hel is located in the best possible tourist spot in the city. There is a marina situated near by, where the peculiar building called “Hel’s egg”, with a restaurant and tourist information point, stands out in the city landscape. The breakwater located in the harbor has become a popular promenade with a Gothic church at its base. Currently, the church houses the Museum of Fishery. Numerous restaurants that can be found in the port add to its character. Moorings are fitted onto floating platforms as well as the wharf. The port can receive vessels up to 80 meters long with a draft of up to 6 meters.
