Pandemic restrictions, including wearing obligatory face masks outdoors, can stay with us longer than we thought. The need to cover our faces makes us look for new possibilities of expressing ourselves and our style. Designers from Pomorskie have, as always, delivered by offering face masks based on original designs. Buying these masks helps local brands to survive during these trying times.
The masked face of Gdańsk
Local, Gdańsk-themed face masks, can be purchased in the store of Magda Beneda. Today, the regional workshop offers three-layered and tripe pleated cotton masks. They are colourful, pleasing to the eye and reminiscent of the times it was possible to stroll along the picturesque streets of Old Gdańsk. The masks are reusable, can be washed in a washing machine and ironed. There are „adult” and „children” variants, each mask costs 25 PLN. They can be found on www.magdabeneda.pl, in the “accessories” section.
Marcelina Rozmus-Prinz and her brand, Mana Mana. Currently, aside from vibrantly colourful bags–the brand’s trademark–the store also offers face masks in all colours of the rainbow. An enormous asset of these masks is the “zero waste” philosophy; the masks are made out of leftover bag material. This also randomises available colours and patterns, introducing an element of surprise! The offer also contains mono-coloured, black or pink, masks. All masks come have two layers of 100% Polish cotton and can be ordered online from www.manashop.pl. A 5-piece package costs 65 PLN.
