It’s such a pleasure to take your family out to eat. Children are quite demanding guests, though. Here are 5 tried and tested kid-friendly restaurants in Tricity, where your children can eat a tasty meal and have a really good time.

M15 Restaurant Bar & Saunas – a children’s paradise in Sopot

This wonderful place close to the beach is perfect for families with children. In M15 traditional cuisine blends with European culinary trends. The kids menu contains dishes that all children love: chicken soup with noodles and vegetables, penne with tomato sauce, chicken breast with caramelised carrots and, for dessert – ruchanki: traditional Kashubian pancakes with hot raspberry sauce. You can also order popular comfort food items: pizza or fries. To make sure kids are not bored while waiting for their meal, parents can ask the staff to bring some colouring books and crayons. There is a special kids’ corner with Montessori-inspired games, toys and multimedia boards. Just next to the restaurant terrace, on the beach, there is a playground with slides and many other attractions. M15 is an excellent place for a family event, like a child’s birthday party – it features cooking workshops during which the kids make pizzas or dumplings under the chef’s supervision. In autumn and winter the restaurant invites its youngest guests to participate in creative workshops.

Fischgarten – a garden full of flavours in Oliwa

The restaurant is located near The Gdańsk Zoo, so if you are planning a visit there, after the exciting encounter with wild animals, the kids will surely appreciate stopping in Fischgarten for lunch or dinner. The kids’ menu (which is a colouring book as well) has lots of delicious dishes for your children. The menu is seasonal, but the item available all year round is chicken nuggets with fries. Children will surely love a wood oven baked pizza and summer barbecues in the garden. Non-alcoholic cocktails for kids, such as Blue Lagoon, are ideal beverages on hot days. The restaurant has a kids’ corner and outside there is a large garden with two playgrounds and a pond full of beautiful koi fish.

Tabun Restaurant – horses and more in Otomin

This atmospheric restaurant surrounded by a forest is a true gem on the map of child-friendly Pomeranian restaurants.  There’s a spacious courtyard and a vegetable garden with old apple trees and plenty of greenery to sit among and relax.  Enjoy a delicious meal chosen from the seasonally inspired menu.  Every dessert or drink here is as natural as possible and made from scratch. In the summer, you can enjoy lemonade made from organic lemons from local suppliers, a summer fruit drink (known as ‘kompot’) or pressed apple juice from a nearby orchard.

And the children? They love it here!  They can play in the indoor playroom or outside, in the garden playground. In the summer, sun loungers are available, but you can also bring your own blanket and chill out on the lawn.  And of course, let’s not forget about horses! Tabun is not just a restaurant, but first and foremost a stud and a horse-riding school, where you can ride a horse or a pony. On Tabun premises you can also visit goats and rabbits, which are just waiting for you to share with them a crunchy carrot or a delicious apple.

Fisherman – fish and cotton candy in Sopot.

Fisherman combines traditional home cooking with a surprising twist. However, in the menu for the youngest, we will find the children’s all-time favourites, such as: home-made chicken noodle soup, fried chicken with cucumber salad or crispy rainbow trout with mashed potatoes. And for dessert? Vanilla ice-cream with fruit. Yummy! Children in Fisherman are the top priority guests.  They receive their meals first and, to make every minute of their wait more enjoyable, they are given books and colouring pages. Chef Rafał Koziorzemski admits that the child is the most demanding culinary critic who honestly expresses his/her opinion and openly says if they liked or disliked the dish. That is why the children are particularly looked after and treated like gourmets. Imagine the smiles on children’s faces when the chef himself makes fancy, colourful cotton candy just for them. Yes – you can experience that at Fisherman.

Tu można marzyć – for dreamers of all ages.

This place was created for dreamers who like to indulge in different flavours. Your dreams about good food will come true here – just open the menu and choose one of the items. The kids’ menu offers e.g.: chicken soup, panko coated chicken, crispy fried cod, spaghetti bolognese and delicious pancakes with nutella, fruit and whipped cream. French fries with ketchup and sweet potato fries are served here, too. While waiting for their food, children can get busy with colouring books. Tu można marzyć is a family-friendly restaurant where all children are welcome. And in the summer, when the restaurant garden is open, there are plenty of attractions waiting for the young guests: children’s benches, 3 colouring boards and plenty of toys.
