The inhabitants of Pomorskie have been drawing from the richness of forest areas for centuries, and the gifts of the forest have become ingredients of traditional products whose recipes are handed down from generation to generation – starting from fruit (bilberries, raspberries, blackberries, wild strawberries, rosehips, cranberries, and rowanberries) and ending with game. Fruit have been processed into preserves and juices while mushrooms have been dried to be used in winter. These traditions are still cultivated in Pomeranian homes.
